Electric Press works with a wide circle of writers, directors, designers, performers and makers. Our open calls are listed below. Standing submissions for general consideration are also welcome — we read everything, even when we can't reply.
Actors
We cast directly and through trusted casting partners. Open calls are listed below; standing submissions are welcome.
Directors
We support early-career and mid-career directors through assisting placements, R&D weeks and commissioned productions.
Creatives
Movement, fight, dramaturgy, intimacy, voice. Always interested in meeting practitioners with a distinctive voice.
Designers
Set, costume, lighting, sound, video. We commission long-term collaborators and rotate associate designers each season.
Writers
Our commissioning programme reads year-round. We pay a flat development fee and offer a guaranteed second draft.
Technicians
Production management, stage management, build, automation, video and sound engineering for productions and tours.
